WelDest End Seminar, 16. - 17. September 2014 in Turku. Finland

The final seminar for WelDest project will take place at Turku University of Applied Sciences, Finland 16th to 17th September 2014 at Lemminkäisenkatu Campus (link)

The two day seminar is aimed at health and well-being tourism industry, academics, students and public. The first seminar day (16.9) will have a more scientific approach with key notes and paper presentations whilst the second day (17.9) will introduce Weldest results and the eHandbook as well as case studies beneficial to the industry.

Optional post tour ("mini cruise") with M/S Viking Grace will leave at 20.00hrs.


Post-tour on M/S Viking Grace will leave on 17th of September. The post-tour offers a mini cruise of one day and night abroad M/S Viking Grace. The voyage will take us through the beautiful archipelago between Sweden and Finland. Arrival at Turku 1930hrs on 18.9.

Seaside Four-cabins are windowed, 9,4m2 cabins, with twin beds and a bathroom.

Mrs. Henna Konu is a project manager at the Centre for Tourism Studies, University of Eastern Finland. She has been working in many national and international wellbeing tourism research and development projects. In addition she has studied wellbeing tourism from different perspectives, including customer research, wellbeing tourism product development and wellbeing destination development.



Mr. László Puczko, the Founder of the Tourism Observatory for Health, Wellness and Spa and  the Managing Director of Xellum Ltd. He is also the Head of School of Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality the BKF University of Applied Sciences, Budapest and an Associate Professor at University of Tartu (Parnü Kolledz, Estonia) as well as the President of the Association of Tourism Consultants (Hungary).


Ms. Anna Bjurstam, who has always been dedicated to wellness, and has worked in the business for 25 years. Together with her hands on expertise in wellness and a Master Degree in Business, Anna has successfully led Raison d’Etre Spas to become one of the leaders in the spa business and has now in addition taken over the reigns of Six Senses Spas with 30 locations world-wide.




 
Ms. Nina Tsymbal , who is a leading spa business consultant who was among the pioneers of the spa industry in Russia. In 2000 she established the very first spa consulting company in St. Petersburg which  specialized in the field, focusing primarily on business planning, market research and concept development.
