Over 400 global leaders of spa and wellness industry gathered together in Marrakech, Marocco 9. - 12.9.2014. to "Fast Forward".

WelDest project was also invited to present its findings on Wednesday 10.9 during the Global Wellness Congress day (agenda

The presentation was given by project manager Susanna Saari. She presented the WelDest framework and summary and promoted the eHandbook that should be published later in November. A full house was listening Susanna to explain "how to develop a health and well-being destination". The comments and discussions afterwards were extreamly encouraging and led us to believe that there is a lot of interest towards health and well-being destination development globally.

The day continued with an interactive lunch that WelDest hosted as well as a round table session on wellness tourism. The Summit days were full of action and excellent key notes from all around the world. Proactive wellness trend, aging population, and the growing of the middle class in emerging markets are among the drivers that will boost the business growth in the years to come.

The good news is that in the spirit of the Summit, they have audio record of all the sessions and video record on the ones in the main stage. The edited videos and transcritps will be shared on GSWS website
